Transportation Guide

CESL is located on the Changping Ca= mpus of CUPL (No. 27, Fuxe Rd, Changping District, Beijing), 38 km from the Xueyuanlu Campus on the North 3^rd Ring Roa= d. It takes approximately 50 minutes by shuttle or by bus, and 40 minutes by car, assum= ing good traffic conditions.

2. Bus Information

There are two bus stations near the Changping Campus, one opposit= e to the South Gate, and the other in front of = the Yangguang Building, 100 meters from the South Gate. Buses No. 345 (Express) and= 919-1 go directly to downtown; No. 947 goes to Shunyi= Disctrict; No. 314, No. 357, No. 491 and No. 23 go to= Nankou and the Ming Tombs; No.345 or No. = 919 goes to Mangshan Forest Park; you can take No.3= 57 or No.11 to Minghuang Laxiang= gong (Wax Museum of Ming Dynasty), and then transfer No.919 to the Great Wall an= d No. 2, No. 5, No. 6, No. 13 and <= /span>No. 21 cover the Changping Distr= ict.

CUPL students most frequently ride 345 (Express) and 919-1 to downtown.

(1) NO. 345 (Express)

The first bus: 05:30 = The last bus: 22:00

Price：4 yuan without Bus Card;

0.40 yuan with the General Bus Card= ;

0.20 yuan w= ith the Student Bus Card.

Stations: Chaofengancun – Changping Dongguan - CUPL(Changping) – Changping Nandajie –= ; Xihuan Nanlu – Shahe Beidaqiao - Shahe – Madianqiao = Nan (main road) – Deshengmenxi.

To go to the Xueyuanlu Campus of CU= PL, the best route is to transfer at Madianqiaonan Station and take the No. 101 or No. 387 bus at the northwest of Madian Bridge. =

Interval: every 2-5 minutes

Notes: It is much cheaper to take the bus with a Bus Card.=

It is always very crowded during rush hours.

Some of the buses are not equipped with air conditioning.

(2) NO. 919-1 Bus

The first bus: 05:00 = The last bus: 19:40

Price：4 yuan without Bus Card;

60% off with the General Bus Card;

80% off with the Student Bus Card.

= Notes: This bus is more expensive, with more stops (slower), however all of the buses are equipped with air conditioning.

(3) NO. 919-1 Bus (Express) (folk name: one stop to Madian)

60% off with the General Bus Card;

80% off with the Student Bus Card.

Stations: Changping Fenshan = Spa Village – Changping Dongguan - CUPL(Changping) – Changping Nandajie –= ; Xihuan Nanlu - Shuitun –Madianqiao= Nan – Deshengmen Xi

Notes: It is more expensive, but faster.

      All the buses are equipped with air conditioners and soft seats. The= re is a luggage compartment at the bottom of the bus. If you are in a hurry or carrying luggage, this bus is recommended.=

(4) Return from Xueyuanlu Campus to= Changping

   You can take Bus No. 345 (Ex= press) or Bus No. 919-1 to return to Changping from Xuyuanlu Campus. The stations are: Beitaipingzhuangqiao Bei for 345 (Express) and = Madianqiao for 919-1.

   If you are not in a hurry, we recommend you catch either of these buses from Desheng= men Station. The interval is short and seats are always available. During rush hour, there will be a long queue.

   If you are in a hurry, the n= earest station where you can catch bus 919 to Changping is Madianqiao Xi. You can get there by bus at the North = Gate of Xueyuanlu Campus.

3. Subway Information

(1) Line S2: Part of the li= ne was put into use on August 1^st 2008 and in 2010 the rest of the = line will be completely open. =

   Station: Beijing North Railway Station, Qinghuayuan, Qihe, Changping, Nankou, Juyongguan, Badaling and Yanqing.

(2) Line 13: Get off at Longze Station and take bus No. 12 (1 yuan) to the Changping Campus, or take a taxi (50 yuan).<= /o:p>

4. Taxi Information

From Changping to Xueyuanlu Campus: Approximately 110 yuan (including a 15 yuan= Highway Fee);

You will probably nee= d to reserve a taxi in advance by calling 96103.

5. Driving Instructions

Enter the Jingchang = Highway at Madian and veer off at EXIT 15 (Nanhuan, Changping). Turn= right at the second intersection (Nanhuan Road) and drive = east along Nanhuan Road until the first set of traffic lights; ta= ke a left turn on Xihuan Road. Drive north along Xihuan Road until the first intersection and then turn right onto Fuxue Road. Drive approximately 1.5 km until you see the South Gate of CUPL.

6. Fro= m Changping Campus to Beijing Capital Airport<= /span>

(1) Public Transportation

a. Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Madian Station. You can then catch the Airport Bus at the west of Madian B= ridge. It will take you 2 hours to reach the airport, and the ticket price for the Airport Bus is 16 Yuan.

b. Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Madian Station; change to No. 300 or 8= 01 to Sanyuanqiao Station, where you can take the Airport Express. The ticket price for the Airport Express is 25 Yuan. It will take = you 1.5 hours to get there.

c. Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Deshengmen Station, where you can then transfer to Subway Line 2 and head to Dongzhimen. From Dongzhimen, take the Airport Express.=

(2) By taxi

It will take you 50 minutes and more than 100 yuan by taxi from Changping Campus to the airport.

7. Fro= m Changping Campus to Beijing West Railway Station

(1) Public Transportation

a. Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Deshengmen Station. Then take Subway L= ine 2 to Fuxingmen, where you can transfer to Line 1 heading for Junbo (Military Museum). It is a 20 minute walk from Junbo to the railway station. If you take a bus, it is only 2 stops.

b. Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Madian Station and change to No. 387. = This bus goes directly to Beijing West Railway Station.

(2) By taxi

If take a taxi, it wi= ll cost you 100-120 yuan and will take approximate= ly 1.5 hours.

8. Fro= m Changping Campus to Beijing Railway Station

(1) Public Transportation

Take 345 (Express) or 919-1 to Deshengmen Station. You can then take = Subway Line 2 directly to Beijing Railway Station.

(2) By taxi

If you take a taxi, it will cost you 100-120 yuan and take approximate= ly 1.5 hours.

8. Process of registration= for a Bus Card

1. Student Bus Card

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp;

2. General Bus Card: you can purchase a general Bus Card at any Bus Card Office or near-by post-office for 20 yuan, and another 20 yuan= is needed for charging the card for the first time.
