The CUPL Library was the first to focus entirely on collecting legal and political materials in China and ranks among the top in the country in terms of both the size of the collection and the speed of acquisitions.
The collection covers nearly all legal academic literature published in mainland China since the 1980s and possesses an extensive collection of books published since the end of the Qing Dynasty including: codes, statutes, and cases.
The CUPL Library is divided into three sites with a branch on the Xueyuan Road campus, and the Fa Yuange Library and Wen Yuange Library on the Changping campus. The bibliography can be searched in both English and Chinese).
Online databases such as Westlaw and LexisNexis are also available.
The CESL reading room is located on the second floor of the Fa Yuange Library in Changping. It was officially opened on October 28, 2009. The current collection includes a large number of works on European and international law in languages other than Chinese.
